Insomniac’s Wolverine is shaping up to be one of PS5’s biggest games this fall: a darker, bloodier single-player adventure built around Logan’s claws, healing factor, and rage.

BQ Report take: This could be Insomniac’s most mature and aggressive Marvel game yet. Keep it on your radar.

Rockstar is doing something unexpected with its next big GTA VI reveal: Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET.

If you do not have Netflix, you will not be locked out for long. The same extended look arrives on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the official GTA VI website at 9 p.m. ET(six hours later).

Is this a smart new way to build hype for games, or should major game reveals always be free for everyone from the start?

A strong price for a recent big-budget shooter—especially if you have friends to play with. Borderlands is at its best as a co-op game, so this is the one to grab if your group has been waiting for the right price instead of paying full launch cost.

This is a true half-price sale, not a tiny discount dressed up as a deal. Worth a look for wrestling fans who want the current roster, updated modes, and a game they can dip into for quick matches instead of another huge single-player commitment.

If you are excited for Marvel’s Wolverine, this is the perfect Insomniac warm-up. Spider-Man 2 remains one of PS5’s best showcases: fast traversal, great superhero combat, and a bigger story featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. At under $25, it is an easy buy.

Sony has set a finish line for physical PlayStation games: starting in January 2028, new releases on PlayStation will no longer be produced on disc. They will be sold digitally through the PlayStation Store and at retail as digital purchases.playstation

Your existing physical games will still work. Games already released—or scheduled to release on disc before January 2028—are not affected. But after that cutoff, buying used copies, lending games to a friend, and building a new physical collection will no longer be options for new PlayStation releases.

BQ Report take: Digital is convenient. But losing competition between retailers, resale value, and the ability to truly hold onto a game feels like a much bigger trade-off than Sony is making it sound.

Don’t be scammed by companies that advertise “ultra high-speed data transfer connection” HDMI cables and sell it for $80.

The only thing that matters is if it’s an HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.1 cable. They provide different performance depending on how high-end your TV/Monitor is. We'll get into that in our upcoming newsletters.

Different connectors also exist (plug at the end of the cable). The average person will most likely need the Standard Type A, unless you need one for cameras or phones.
